Developed by Ebb Software, Scorn is an atmospheric horror adventure game set in a bizarre, dream-like world. The game's horror revolves around the unsettling and jarring environment, isolating you in strange, maze-like areas and forcing you to adapt and survive.
You must navigate each interconnected world carefully and discover different rooms, paths, and tools to help you progress. Despite its surreal setting, Scorn is notable for its realism, featuring lifelike movements and environmental interactions. The game may not have many startling jump scares, but it will leave you feeling chilled and disturbed.
Devour is a 1-4 player, co-op horror survival game developed by Straight Back Games. This terrifying game forces you to stop possessed cultists before they can take you to Hell with them.
Devour features a variety of creepy maps and several heart-pounding game modes, but the gist is typically the same. You and your friends must race against time to find ritual items, which you can use to break the goat demon Azazel's hold on the deranged cult members.
Tip: if you're looking for an even more immersive experience, you can play Devour with a quality VR headset for the ultimate scare.

The Mortuary Assistant
In The Mortuary Assistant, developed by DarkStone Digital, you get the chance to work in a mortuary, embalming bodies and learning how to care for the deceased. That may not sound exciting, but this isn't an ordinary mortuary.
As it turns out, there's something different about these bodies, and there's something different about you as well. You'll quickly realize that there are demonic forces at work in this mortuary, and you'll have to practice occult rituals to keep the many evil spirits at bay.
The Mortuary Assistant features creepy gameplay and a deep, fascinating story to keep you engaged for the 10+ hours of content.
Hello Neighbor 2
Set to release in December 2022, Hello Neighbor 2 is the much-anticipated sequel to the horror hit Hello Neighbor. Developed by Eerie Guest (formerly Dynamic Pixels) and tinyBuild, this upcoming sequel is a stealth horror game in which you must uncover the secrets of your creepy neighbor. However, there is a twist.
In this game, your neighbor is under the control of AI. As you play, it will learn your habits and patterns to create a uniquely challenging gameplay experience. As you'll quickly learn, there's something particularly creepy about a horror game where the antagonist can adapt to your behavior. And unlike the original game, Hello Neighbor 2 provides you with an entire town to creep about, including various houses and AI-driven residents.
If you like a bit of silliness with your horror, Chicken Killer developed by 616 Games is the perfect game for you. Inspired by the many trashy horror movies of the 1980s, the ridiculous horror comedy game follows the story of a poor streamer in China named Captain YG.
Captain YG must work in a ramen restaurant to make ends meet. However, when he needs to kill a chicken for his recipe, he simultaneously ignites an ancient prophecy, unleashing a ruthless chicken killer and forcing Captain YG must fight for survival. This game features hilarious, low-quality animation and plenty of gratuitous gore, and while it may not terrify you, it will undoubtedly entertain you.
Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach
Developed by Steel Wool Studios, fans of the cult classic indie horror game Five Nights at Freddy's will want to try Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach. The ninth addition to the series goes AAA with Security Breach with top-tier graphics and gameplay.
Security Breach centers around Gregory, a child who's become trapped overnight inside Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. Playing as Gregory and with the help of Freddy himself, you must uncover the disturbing secrets of the Pizzaplex and find a way to survive until morning. It won't be easy, though, as the creepy animatronics of the restaurant will relentlessly pursue you, and you never know when one is lurking right around the corner.

Only one human settlement remains, and it's on the brink of collapse. You take on the role of a wanderer with exceptional agility and skills, and you hold the fate of The City in your hands.
Surviving in a combat zone filled with terrifying, powerful monsters, you must avoid the Infected, unravel the world's secrets, and do everything you can to keep civilized society afloat. Dying Light 2: Stay Human features a vast open world, brutal combat, and co-op capabilities.
If you're a fan of the classic 1978 film Halloween, you'll love this creepy fan-made game. Developed by Damián González, Halloween brings the terrifying villain Michael Myers to the gaming world.
In this indie horror game, you take on the role of little Tommy's babysitter on Halloween night, and at first, everything seems to be going smoothly. That all changes, though, when you receive a disturbing phone call. Suddenly, someone starts opening the front door. The Backrooms 1998
The Backrooms 1998 is a found footage psychological horror game developed by Steelkrill Studio. This game is the perfect option for hardcore horror fans, as it features disturbing footage, terrifying jump scares, intense gore, and extreme violence. It follows the story of a teenager who has fallen into the depths of The Backrooms in 1998.
You play as that unfortunate teen, and you'll soon realize that you're not alone in this creepy setting. You'll have to roam around the claustrophobic environment, searching for clues and looking for an escape route. However, you better be quiet; otherwise, your unseen company might hear you. The Backrooms 1998 is not for the faint of heart, but if you have nerves of steel, it's worth a play.
Published by Devolver Digital and developed by Daniel Mullin Games, Inscryption is a mash-up of some of the horror gaming genres' strange and popular titles like Five Nights at Freddie’s with a card-based roguelike. The game combines the fear of the unknown, unsettling imagery, and deeply twisted story-telling to immerse the player in the eerie and dark puzzle before them.
This title is filled to the brim with otherworldly sounds and imagery. You sit across from a dark figure who acts as a game master in a cabin that you can not escape. The man requires that you play the game or else. Learn the rules, play the best strategies you can. If you lose, you die.
You can always go on a more traditional scary adventure. In Phasmophobia, you become part of a team of four ghost hunters. You will travel from haunted location to location to identify what kind of entity haunts it.
This game is a “Ghost Adventures” game. You will work with a team of other ghost hunters to spread around the haunted location with equipment that helps to find and identify the spirit. You’ll have to be careful and play smart as the ghosts and demons in Phasmophobia are deadly. Closing the door to use a spirit box may be the last thing you do before you join the spirit on the other side.
Each hunt will net the players a reward in cash that they can spend on better supplies. If you’ve always dreamed of becoming a ghost hunter in real life, this is your chance to simulate what could have been.
Dead by Daylight
Horror fans finally have the perfect game for eclectic tastes. Developed by Behaviour Interactive, Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric multiplayer survival game that pits four harmless survivors against monsters, creeps, and serial killers. Horror fan favorites like Jason, Pinhead, Ghost Face, Demogorgon, Nemesis, and nineteen other horror-styled icons stalk the dark and dreadful crime scenes to maim and capture the team of survivors.
As a survivor, you’ll need to complete each map's objectives to open the exit and survive. Unfortunately, you will have no way to defend yourself from the horrible might of the Dead by Daylight killers. Instead, you’ll need to leave obstacles behind and run for your life.
As a killer, you will use the superhuman abilities of one of twenty-four apex predators to hunt down all four survivors before they can escape. You’ll have all the advantages on your side.
Developed by Bloober Team, The Medium is a next-generation iteration of the Silent Hill formula. Unlike the tragedy of Silent Hill, the protagonist can switch between worlds anywhere. As the Medium, you will explore and solve the dark mysteries of how the “upside-down” and the real world interact.
Complete with the composer behind the Silent Hill soundtrack, The Medium is a truly horrifying adventure into the supernatural and the psychology behind it. The Medium is available to play through cloud gaming on Gamepass, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Little Nightmares II
Developed by Tarsier Studios, Little Nightmares II is a creative platformer steeped in atmospheric thrills and suspense. Help Mono and Six to get through the terrifying and dangerous world to get to the source of the distortion in the world. Dodge through giants covers in shadow and intent on killing Mono and Six.
The world is beautifully crafted and a worthy successor to the first in the series. This strange and wonderful title reaches fans of other genres. Take some time to check out Little Nightmares II. The free demo is more than enough to convince you the game is worth a playthrough.
Survive the post-apocalyptic landscape of the Exclusion Zone in Chernobylite – a new survival horror role-playing gaming that feels reminiscent of games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and FEAR. This tale puts in the boots of Igor, a survivor in the nuclear wastelands with a tortured past. You’ll need to explore the world and survive against mutated horrors and desperate survivors of the nuclear reaction in Chernobyl.
You’ll build a base to hone equipment and supplies for yourself and your team as you survive through increasing exposure to nuclear radiation and uncover the truth of Igor’s present situation and the past. You will both hunt and be hunted by terrors created by nuclear radioactivity. Are you brave enough to survive the haunted wastelands?
Back 4 Blood
There can never be a third for Valve, but there can be spin-offs. Back 4 Blood is the spiritual successor to a legendary classic Left 4 Dead. Back 4 Blood is not quite the same game, but the main element of four survivors working together to push through zombies, I mean “ridden”, infested areas to get to the next dangerously overpopulated “safe zone”.
Just like its predecessors, Back 4 Blood features a diverse cast of zombie mutations and talkative protagonists. It is just as difficult and in some cases even more difficult than the Left 4 Dead series. If you want to reach the last act, you will have to work with a team. This is another title that just happens to be on Xbox GamePass.
Days Gone is a culmination of zombie games and survival features for PS4 and PC. It doesn’t attempt to be a title filled with revolutionary features, but rather a solid game with an incredible and twisting story. This game is a showcase of what the best zombie games for the PS4 got right. It feels like a solid mix of The Last of Us and The Walking Dead.
Navigate the countryside by motorcycle and through mountain landscapes a few years after a viral mutation creates hordes of zombies around the world. You can help the camps of survivors, clear out dangerous hordes, or push through the main storyline. Days Gone is a massive game with a rather lengthy storyline. Prepare for more than just a Halloween night of gameplay.
Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil Village is the number one horror game of the year. The 8th addition to the Resident Evil series mixes the horror of RE7’s first-person nightmare simulation with the aesthetic and story-telling of their classic hit Resident Evil 4.
In the eighth entry to the series, you play as Ethan Winters years after the events of RE7. After his home is attacked by Chris Redfield, Ethan must push his way back through the hell of his past to find his daughter.
Lunch Lady is a unique, free-to-play co-op horror game created by indie developer, Manic Mice for PC.

Sneak around the school and stay out of the Lunch Lady’s sight while you find the ten pages you need to ace the exam.
